Sustainable Style

We love a Panama hat. Our ones are brought to you straight from Ecuador, the home of the Panama hat. A well-made one is an exquisite accessory for your wardrobe. Crafted from fine, tightly woven straw it’s structured to be robust enough to hold its elegant shape while remaining soft, cool and breathable in heat. Its timeless simplicity ensures it is a knock-out in style whatever the occasion.

Our Panamas are hand-woven by skilled artisans from sustainable Toquilla Palm. Toquilla is a type of palm found on the coast in Ecuador, which produces the fine straw essential for weaving. Our hats are handmade by local craftspeople who split the Toquilla straw into fine strands and hand weave them tightly to make the hats.

Panama hats make wonderful accessories, lending an air of sophistication to any accompanying outfit. They look and feel great on both men and women alike. Knüg’s range include the classic white and natural looks, but also carries a variety of colours ready to brighten up the dullest day. When buying a Panama, consider what shades might best suit you, and which most complements with your wardrobe

Our Panama hats are lightweight, yet sturdy and breathable to keep your head fresh in the summer, while bringing a classiness to any summer outfit. They feature a centre dent, a high-pinched crown, and a heightened brim at the front for sun protection and elegance. An interior reinforcement is added to crown tip, to prevent cracks from excessive pinching.
